501c3 Status in the Works!

Good news! 501c3 tax-exempt status is one step closer to being granted to Seeds! The stack of paperwork was submitted as of yesterday, and we should hear back within a month's time.

Why does this matter?

By achieving tax-exempt status for our non-profit organization, a whole new echelon of grants and opportunities become available to us. Grants help us spread our wings into a richer array of programs, and could eventually be a large part of what allows us to get a facility. A facility is another investment that would allow us to broaden our capabilities to invest in Tucson in new ways. Not to mention, some of our dream programs, such as a community garden, or having tutoring space, reading space, safe hang-out space for neighborhood kids, etc are most attainable once we have a space to call our own.

There are many steps in the future for Seeds, but we're glad to be just a little bit closer to our goals. Please be praying for the 501c3 review process in this time, and don't forget to get excited with us!
